Pre Purchase Exams

When your horse is lame or experiencing a performance issue, a thorough examination can save you time, money and frustration by diagnosing and treating the problem immediately. Middlesex Equine offers digital radiology and ultrasonography, as well as advanced therapies such as stem cell and PRP treatments.

Middlesex Equine provides emergency services around-the-clock. You can rest assured that emergency communication will be timely, and that your horse will receive the best of care.

Prepurchase examinations are recommended for every purchase, given the significant financial and emotional investment you are about to make. The exam provides an objective risk assessment for each horse, and helps you decide if a horse is the right one for you and your goals.

Reproductive Services

Routine and Geriatric Care

Dentistry

Middlesex Equine offers ambulatory reproduction services to a wide variety of horse owners. Our goal is to provide horse owners with the most current knowledge and techniques for reproductive management of their horses.

Individual assessment of your horse, stable, property, and show schedule provide the basis for a solid preventative medicine plan. Vaccinations, fecal egg counts, and age- and risk-specific screening exams are tailored to your horse's needs.

A thorough dental exam should be done at least once a year for adult horses. Dental problems can cause performance issues, weight loss, colic, and discomfort in our equine companions. Dr. Boulay utilizes both hand and powerfloating to balance and correct your horse's mouth.
